The passing of a monarch

Queen Elizabeth II died today.

I’m not a Royalist but I do applaud her indomitable sense of duty and how much of herself she gave to the nation and the Commonwealth.

I never took a picture of the Queen but just a few days ago I snapped this whilst out walking our dogs. I called it ‘The party’s over’ - how poignant I suppose.
