Steam trains & old film cameras

I spent a beautiful sunny day at the Rawtenstall Railway Station that was having a 1940’s event which included a beautiful steam train offering rides and lunches.

I took along my MPP MkVii 4x5 camera from the 60’s and my Mamiya C3 120 film camera from the 60’s. There was a lot of interest in the cameras and the fact that film was still available.

Like the steam trains, I think it is important that we maintain some aspects of our past and keep them alive. Steam trains will need coal to be authentic and film cameras will always need film. They may not be the most environmental of options but they are a tiny fraction of modem society so let’s keep hold of them and keep supporting them.
