Can’t go back and change it

When you lived for fifty something years you get plenty of opportunities to look back and think ‘What if?’. Don’t do it!

Look back and think ‘I’m glad I….’ .

’What if’s’ seem to be driven by regret and they aren’t usually constructive or helpful when approached from that direction. If you must have a ‘what if’ then try a ‘what if I hadn’t…’; it feels to me like that comes from a more positive place.

Here’s one of mine: What if I hadn’t signed our son up to a karate class when he was young? I wouldn’t have met a fabulous friend who became a good mentor to my son and a mediocre pool player. LOL.
